As the impending owner of 2128, I am picking the boat up next week but short of a cover.
I am new to the fleet so any assistance would be appreciated.
I am travelling down South next week, or pay for post packaging or anyone know of a good supplier of cover etc any recommendations etc

Congratulations on buying 2128, nice boat.
There was an earlier thread about covers here:

Might be worth speaking to Sam Woolner via this forum as he is a keen Hornet sailor and has recentlystated Exe Sails.  (https://www.facebook.com/exesails)

certainly can help, give me a call on 01392 874449 or 07894 856748 and have a chat about it if you would like.

wherever you source one, I would suggest, don't get a PVC one as it doesn't breathe and being a wooden boat, breathability is key.

I would reccommend Polycotton. There are more expensive options, Hydralite, Weathermax etc, I have one of these more expensive options and I can honestly say I wish I had gone with Polycotton. I have done a few Polycotton hornet covers and they do fit very nicely and the material itself lasts very well. There is also the advantage of it being reproofable (Tim reccommends brick seal.....).

The other important thing to do is measure the shroud (and possibly mast) positions because there are quite a few variations (I would imagine them to be somewhere near my goodwin boat), so far I know of 6 different shroud positions.

Hopefully that helps without going too much into detail...................
