Hi, I have just acquired an old Hornet (2078) for renovation. Have finished stipping varnish, repairing/epoxying decks and now preparing her for new varnish and fitting out.

Sadly I do not have a serviceable mast, so if anybody has a spare to sell, please let me know. I hope to be on the water by easter 2009.

Thanks, Duncan

Duncan, where are you based, who built the boat? Hornet masts are not fully interchangeable, dependant on height of hog etc.

Its a Baker composite hull if memory serves me correct. At one time It was known as Vamoose.

Wow that's an impressive memory. It is a composite and still logod with Vamoose. I assume Baker is right (I haven't had time to check the certificate yet!). I am indending to ditch my Laser and sail the Hornet at Stone Sailing Club with my sons / daughter some of whom you may remember from last years Nats.
