PORT DINORWIC SAILING CLUB

 

JOINT RS 400 and HORNET OPEN MEETING

 

28th 29th May 2005

 

5 Race series.

1st Race 1300 start.

Entry Fee £25, £15 Youth including BBQ

BBQ at the Club on Saturday night. £5

Accommodation available with club members.

Join in club racing on Bank Holiday Monday.

Kevin and I will be there. Others I have heard are going are Tom, Strang and Eric. Plus the local contingent.

i would guess there are going to be 8 local boats... plus the 4 boats above

Don't forget your ex-Horneteers are always welcome at the Nationals so if they need a boat let us know (Even number 12......)

From the PD report

After lunch, the Longs were the first to find the tide had turned for race 3 and sailed over the bank to establish and keep the lead from Duncan/June and Dave Edge and Martin Arniston. The latter recovered from a poor result in race 4 to get out in front of a tightly bunched fleet in the final race and thereby avoiding the ‘discussions’ as boats tried to run as close to the shore as possible.

the heated discussions were concerned with Kevin and Barry's very vocal request for water because they were about to hit a tree!
