You could always promise to win the regatta and dedicate the win to her. Besides the wedding will not take all day will it.

No, not all day but as it's not too far from Grafham, I'm not sure we could squeeze a race in before or after the service.... and I certainly don;t intend driving anywhere early on Sunday!

Tobes you could lend Juice and your wife to me and we could go racing while you go to the wedding.

Great, Sam, are you traveling Friday night or Saturday?

Do we have any idea of start time? Briefing?
Any one seen some SI's? Or notice of race?

Hi everybody, some news on Carsington.

Usually, as the regulars will know we all retreat to the Knockerdown Pub for a meal with our Javelin companions, but this year the club is pushing the boat out (poor choice of words I accept) and organising a meal at the Club on the Saturday night, and we will be attending.

The extract from their email . . . . the menu is a choice of   bbq smoked  chicken and chips or  salad or 3 bean chilli with rice and crusty bread (vegi ) and then a selection of puds the cost is £9.50 per person . if this is of any interest could you let me know  .it would be great if we all could let the galley know what we would like in advance if that's possible .. oh and we will have a real ale on for £2.00 a pint and  girly drinks like wine etc.

Apparently the bar will be open late as well . . . . .

The food at the club during the day is always of a good standard, so I anticipate us all supporting their efforts, at £2.00 / pint even I may have two, or more?

Can we have a confirming show of hands for those attending and number of meals please? Ta!

Finally, in case you don't see it elsewhere, we will be pulling the draw for the early bird Nationals entries on the Sunday. I understand that there are currently 12 entries for the 3 prizes. Sounds like good odds to me. Please note that the entries must be 'paid up' entries! IOU s and promissary notes do not count!!!!

Hi Jo et al.

The club is open today (Friday) including the bar until 9.00pm, so you can arrive and drop off the boat on 'the beach' until then. Afterwards I suspect we will be meeting up at 'The Knockerdown'

See you there Big smile

Sorry will not be with you, going to that wedding. Kevin has received my paid up entry! So put me in the hat!
Have fun and get really drunk, except for Corin of course.

Talk about 'King of the late breakers' Strang! OK, you're in, hand written ticket, but you are in. Text me later to explain why Corin shouldn't get smashed. If it means Jo won't go so quick, I'll be endeavouring to buy her two or three  Wink

I'll let Strang explain, but I seem to remember "you're about as much use as a bag of spuds" being used after Corin spent a little too long in the bar one champs.....
