First blow (in all senses) to Carsington, but next meeting for the Travellers Trophy is our favourite on the Blackwater Estuary at Stone SC on the 17th and 18th May. Guaranteed good sailing, good food, good beer, good company.

Start making the arrangements now. Hopefully we will get the details posted up here this week.

Apologies, Geoff and I will not be there. My back is nowhere near ready and I dont want to risk it sleeping in a tent with Geoff!
Good luck all, it looks as if it will be fine , hope there is sufficient wind.

Hi Joe

I know you know by now we had a very interesting weekend, infinitely more pleasing weather wise than Carsington. The Saturday was almost burnt out with just the occasional puff of wind, but the sea breeze kicked in just long enough to get the one race in. Downwind over the tide meant about 1 knot over the ground, and the leeward mark was a chancy affair, almost as bad as going for the Lerry at Aberdovey.

Sunday was just plain fabulous, mostly a 3 in brilliant sunshine and loads of tide to test the tactical skills. Although the results showed a very convincing win for Toby & Gareth, Woody n Ian and Eric n Rob kept them honest, and they had to work hard to put it to bed.

An excellent event, immaculately run as ever by Wendy, Caroline and the rest of the team, roll on the Exe next month.

I see from the results that there are four entries that are not yet members of the association. You know who you are, please send your form and fee.

Thanks.
