Question for Duncan.....

There was mention at Port Dinorwic of a crew's race at the Nationals this year. Any idea which day this would be and whether there would be any 'normal' races on that day?

The point is that I have a wedding to go to and I am trying to fit everything in without jeopardizing my results. If the details haven't been fixed yet, may I propose the day? Nothing but self interest here!

Of course the added bonus to all of this is that I would escape with my life when Martin takes the stick! He would be looking for crew to replace me though..... anyone????????

Here's a quote from last weeks Int Canoe Champs at Dale-

Dale YC provided excellent facilities, a friendly race team and staff,
all in a picture post card village. With plenty of wind and good
sunshine the IC fleet must have thought they were in heaven.

While checking with Cilla at Richmond House (between the pub and the Club!) she said that she has an 8-bed dorm available from the Sunday if anyone is still looking for accommodation. I'm told by one of the Canoe looneys that her breakfast is excellent and she is very obliging and will do all she can to help out!!!!!!

After Strangs message about entertainment:

Hi Strang

I trust that there will be a keyboard and piano at Dale then? Only on the grounds of not wanting to suffer ritual humiliation - anyway, it would be good to have a piano smashing competion whilst I'm part way through playing to stop it - only blues or jazz though! (Does the threat get me an excuse not to participate?)

Best Regards

Your kids should be well into making your props, reheasals this w/e. See you at Dale.

With the current wireless computerstuff available in the Hornetfleet I expect to be able to follow the championships over the internet.

I trust there will be pictures and stories uploaded every evening to comfort them who can not be there this year?!
