Just a quick note to thank Tom and his team for all their work at the show and to thank you all for making me feel so welcome. Good to put names to faces etc.

Yes, well done to the Hornet team, another well supported, professional display from you guys.
Very noticable how approachable you were for potential newcomers compared to some other Classes.
We overheared quite a few people leaving the stand who were talking about the Hornet, more so than any of the other Classes.

Just to let you know, Myself and Cath managed to secure sponsorship for the Fastsail events like the SGP, Southwold and awards dinner from Harken, Rooster, Proctor, Superspar, Marlow, Sola, Craftinsure, Musto, plus one that I know will intrest the wooden Hornet owners, a new deck job from Paintcraft!

Great show and well done

Mike n Cath

I hope everyone the show and particularly the Fastsail stand where the Richard Barne's Hornet was on display.

As a class we should be very encouraged by the comments coming from the visitors. Not only were they impressed by the boat, the friendliness of the class members, they very much endorsed our involvement with the other classes in Fastsail. There appears to be a general shift of attitude to our classes as those new to the sailing scene start to appreciate that there is life beyond the glossy advertisement pages of Yachts & Yachting.

It was good to meet all the new faces in the class, glad you could make the effort to go the show. Don't forget, if you need any advice or assistance don't hesitate to contact us.

In no particular order thanks to the following for their help at Sailboat :

Thanks to Cath & Mike for their considerable efforts before, during and after the show for all the Fasrtsail classes.

The stand helpers: Olly Turner, Richard Woodward, Kevin & Debbie, Burt, Barry & Gill Miller, Strangler, Roger Devereaux, Dean Saxton, Ken Newing, Simon Evance, Eric & Cath Marchbanks

Special notes, for Baz, Kevin, Gill and Richard for their contribution in preparation for the show.

Lastly, to Eric and Cath who travelled all the way from Sandwich to help set up on the Friday night, (also thanks for the pizza!)

Look forward to seeing everyone at our first open of the year at Maldon

Tom
