Do you want to be a sail measurer?

The RYA tell me they will be putting on a couple of sail measurers courses this year. 1st in April/ early May, prob at Frensham Pond [Hants?], 2nd in summer/ autumn in Derby. It will be one day- a Friday. If you are interested let me know. No more details known at present.

Hi Clint

There are about 6 Hornet sail measurers [see RYA technical], but my understanding is -any RYA sail measurer may measure our sails if they are willing BUT we do not use the ISAF Equipment Rules method ...yet. So they should be familiar with our method. If they have been a measurer for many years they may be familiar with it.

Hi all,

We will need a sail measurer for the nationals at Dale.

The club will have a room set aside to use on Saturday, any ideas who we can use.

Cheers Duncan

Jim Woods used to do this in the past (for new sails).

Update on my 7 May posting. An RYA measurer has to apply to Hornet committee first. If the comm approve then there is a bit of red tape with the RYA.

Its like getting blood out of a fish trying to get any info from the RYA about measurers.
