You could get lucky and find a space on Barracks Road by Cefas for the whole of the event, this is fine to leave the car there, but may upset a few locals if you sleep in the van here. The best free option for parking is along Netherton Rd, Bincleaves Rd or Belle Vue Rd. These are quiet residential roads where the houses are set back from the road and you can park all day for free. It is where most club members park when sailing all day as it is an easy 5-10 minutes’ walk from the club. You might get away with sleeping in your van up here (people have before), but there’s no guarantee you won’t end up with a note on your windscreen.
